Mammoth Tank
Subject description: Renegade 2
Madin's Renegade 2 Mammoth Tank
Files include all necessary XML, W3X, and texture files needed for editing and compilation.
Ready to use!
It is assumed that you have the C&C3; mod sdk and have been able to at least compile the sample mod. Check the included read me for permissions.
The format that I've packed the files in means that they are ready-to-compile, no XML work is needed at all.
You are expected to adjust the code to your needs and to add it to your mod if desired, all I have added are the basics. Balance and fine tuning are up to you.
Includes sample sounds.
Includes extra textures (you must code it on your own).
This uses spyVsspy 'ObjectFaction.fx' shader& Lauren's 'ObjectsUVMoveNoHC.fx' file, which has been included in locations correct for both users of Bibber's RA3 based mod tools or those who still use the classic buildmod.bat (a copy to allow for previewing the texture in W3X viewer has also been included).
You may re-distribute this package as long as all initial files, including this Read me and all uncompiled files, are included.
You may freely use, modify and improve all the graphical assets for any public mod as long as you give proper credits and it is not for any profit.
i like the amount of details and as always the excellent texture work, but i really dislike those huge muzzle brakes. They make the cannons look extremely cartoonish. I also don't think i've ever seen a muzzle brake on a big cannon before. I only associate them with hand held rifles, where reducing recoil is helpful/necessary. _________________ SHP Artist of Twisted Insurrection: Nod buildings

Huh? You can find muzzle brakes on almost any large-caliber cannon that isn't being used to fire sabot rounds. _________________ YR modder/artist, DOOM mapper, aka evanb90

I was searching for "120mm cannon" images and none had muzzle brakes
It seems muzzle brakes are only a thing for artillery again.
@AG: that concept looks more like an Apoc than a mammoth
Again, this is because muzzle brakes and sabot rounds don't generally mix well together. What has been the primary anti-tank round for tanks for the last 50 or so years? APFSDS.
Cannons used on lighter platforms often have muzzle brakes- look at the ERC-90, AMX-10RC, Centauro for instance. Prior to the proliferation of APFSDS/APDS, the majority of high-power tank cannons used muzzle brakes. _________________ YR modder/artist, DOOM mapper, aka evanb90
