tested it myself.
The Gradient does neither start on the start color, nor end on the end color. When using
Start Color 0,255,0
End Color 0,100,0
Distance: 1
This thing creates a color 0,100,0 and 0,0,0.
But well, this old editor wasn't touched in decades and the interface sucks.
A complete new tool would be useful.
For editing lots of colors you should save the palette as JASC and then edit it with a text editor, then load it back and save as PAL. Much faster than with the slow interface. _________________ SHP Artist of Twisted Insurrection: Nod buildings
The same bug happened to me, also, there is one similar to it where the last 1-10 colors are always cyan, which i believe it happens if the other colors are blue, green, sky, teal and other colors similar to them.
EDIT: I tried to test it, but i forgot how it happens exactly, however, while trying to get it, i came across this: changing colors using the gradient option with the ending colors white after the first ending colors were black but the starting color never changed, results in the change of the blue color in some digits. (starting from 127 0x07F)

QUICK_EDIT
Yea I learned to use it to make the inner values after manually making the first and last. In the end I only use the gradients as a starting position and modify them all anyway. _________________ http://www.moddb.com/mods/scorched-earth-ra2-mod-with-smart-ai QUICK_EDIT
