New Addition to Twisted Insurrection OST
Subject description: Plus a some fresh screenshots because why not?
There are quite a lot of new tracks in the works for Twisted Insurrection as of this moment, the first one of these tracks to be complete and put in-game following the 'Space Echo' [Frank Klepacki Remix] and 'Act on Insurrection 2.0' is this, 'Disturbance', which also replaces the old and obsolete score 'Sandstorms'. This new piece was composed by TI staff members Bobisfaction and Swirekster.
While we are making a news post, here are some additional screenshots to make it a little more interesting. Enjoy!

Sandstorm might not reach the level of quality of the other TI tracks, but removing it isn't necessary imo.
It still has some kind of nice environment feel and would surely work well as an intro for some kind of desert map. Maybe keep it like the IonStorm ambience track as a non-selectable track, so mappers can still use it.
Though i guess Heavy Artillery would work good too for a desert map theme. _________________ SHP Artist of Twisted Insurrection: Nod buildings
Not a bad idea at all. Good call. Would be even better if we made some kind of actual sandstorm animation for map effects (I mean something like our old rain tests rather than dust devils).

If you are able to render an extra large version I don't think lag is on the cards really since there'd actually be less animations, the animated water for example doesn't lag at all with several 10x10 tiles. For the particle aand that is. QUICK_EDIT
though this SHP is 3 MB big and placing several of these on a map, surely causes lag.

a few single pixel in a big canvas are something else than almost the entire canvas filled with colored pixel
In addition is the water anim opaque and not transparent. _________________ SHP Artist of Twisted Insurrection: Nod buildings
That looks sweet though, good job. To reduce overall file size, how does it look if you trim every other frame or so so that it's 15 frames instead of 30 for example.
I would only use this for singlplayer or something to prevent online lag, it would surely be problematic otherwise. QUICK_EDIT

This seems fitting for an environment found in Dune QUICK_EDIT
Looks great, repetition is barely noticeable. Solid work, LKO.
I have to find some kind of method to motivate you to finish your Nod WIP's, I was Hoping Klepacki would give you the extra boost needed. =[ QUICK_EDIT
FK did motivate me and i got already a lot more stuff done, it's just not finished yet.
I have like 10 parallel WIPs, but none finish so far. All at about 60-90%
I also have a small easteregg/credit/thank to FK done in the latest work. _________________ SHP Artist of Twisted Insurrection: Nod buildings
