Psychic Beacons were originally deployed by the Soviets and then Yuri to control the masses in selected areas.Recently they have been seen being deployed again by the Syndicate as their answer to a Long-Range Defense. Modified now to only take control the minds of targets individually but permanently. This new method of mind control is still experimental as it still suffers from a similar minimum range as the Grand Cannon and Hellfire Cannon requiring Commanders to provide close-range countermeasures.
