Reform Preview 2
I wasn't initially planning to make another preview version, but I've got all the AI defensive and all basic offensive teams completed, so it should be able to put up a fight now. This will allow me to finish rest of the AI without having to rush it. Expect alot more sneaky things from the final AI, this one will mostly try to bulldoze over you.
Also compared to the last preview there are 62 new community maps (adjusted for Reform), few new units, musics and soundeffects. And alot of other changes.
The last few things that are unfinished in this preview 2 are:
- Flame Warrior doesn't have attack frames yet
- Nod Cluster and Chemical missile aren't properly coded in yet, and they will get new graphics
- Offensive AI has only the "basic" attacks, none of the faction specific or more advanced tricks

If you don't have a ModDB page, you should definitely set one up by the way.

I'll get those screenshots for ya!I'll have em sent you by the end of the week, hell might even be today! _________________ Beta Tester for Mental Omega 3.0
I've been holding back on ModDB due to lack of proper screenshots or content to put there. But with this release I will finally create a page for the mod there. As soon as Death Cultist has captured some nice screenshots for it If anyone else has some interesting screenshots, send them to me, I will put them to the ModDB page. _________________ Last edited by SuperJoe on Fri Oct 12, 2012 1:27 am; edited 1 time in total QUICK_EDIT

Congratz on release... but I always crash at clicking on Skirmish. And I'm no TS modder to figure out the issue. And no, deleting SUN.INI doesn't help.

You might already know this, but the mod is standalone, you didn't install it over TS? Did you start the mod through the launcher? It will force it to run on a single core. Also if nothing else works, try setting compatibility mode win98 for Refo.exe. And try with / without Alternative DirectDraw (only enable it if on WinXP though).
These are the only things I can say for now since I can't interpret the exceptions. Can someone with the skills take a look at it? _________________ QUICK_EDIT

I don't even have TS installed. And actually, this is the sole mod which crashes here. I even tried compstomp mode, DDrawfix, everything (XP SP3 here, so it shouldn't matter) _________________ "If you didn't get angry and mad and frustrated, that means you don't care about the end result, and are doing something wrong." - Greg Kroah-Hartman

What SuperJoe was saying is that you do need to have TS installed first, because this mod isn't stand-alone.
If you don't have TS laying around anywhere and don't want to download the whole free version of TS, you can instead download UTS, which is a version of TS Judeau put together a while ago; it only contains all essential to be able to play (so there's no music or videos) and it's only 26.5 MB while compressed. _________________ QUICK_EDIT

Most mods start there without any proper material QUICK_EDIT

Hm.... Bittah, thanks. Throwing the exe alone from that UTS into a TS Reborn folder fixed my issue. Seems mod is standalone but one of those exeedits blows up the stuff on my PC. QUICK_EDIT

Actually the mod IS standalone!

I THINK I might know what the problem is. I've applied the VRAM hack into the exe by default. Try going to 0x08AC2F and change the 90 90 90 90 back to 3C 01 75 0C. Does this fix it for you?
I am going to recreate the mod launcher from scratch for version 1.0, since I lost all the code for it. I will add an option to enable / disable the VRAM hack to it. Btw, does anyone actually play TS mods on XWIS? I might remove the entire XWIS option from the mod and leave only LAN and CnCNet in there, simplifies alot of things. _________________ QUICK_EDIT

I doubt it's VRAM. Because my Ares uses that VRAM thingie and same goes to TI.
As I said, I crash on the moment I click on Skirmish. I can see the menus and if that would be the issue, I couldn't (Radeon HD3000 here with an Athlon II X3 450). What are the other edits for in this exe you use (since it's bigger than UTS's). QUICK_EDIT

I've sent you a full list of the changes I've made to the EXE. _________________ QUICK_EDIT
