Allied APC
Allied APC
In the Great World War II both sides suffered immense infantry casualties, although the Allies had M113 APCs available from factories in the US and in europe they were more often used as anti-infantry tanks than personnel transports.
Part of the problem was the poor quality of infantry firepower available at the time, the other problem was that commanders were unwilling to spare the time and resources from armour to train infantrymen, this was not helped by the fact any meaningful number of troops being transported would require larger carrying capacity.
The allies looked back to pre-GWWII vehicles and took inspiration from the British Universal Carriers (shown here in an exercise to test the handling of large numbers of prisoners) and decided if a vehicle were to be able to not only carry a squad of 6 men but also able to provide fire support to the section in combat APCs may be useful not only as battlefield taxis but also as a part of mechanised units.
Badassery begins...
After months of trawling through designs and schematics, the engineers at the Porsche Tank plant realised a 13mm Heavy machinegun would be sufficient were the gunner protected and a tracked chassis proofed against soviet infantry small arms would suffice for protection. With this research complete they designed the first modern Infantry Fighting vehicle ever unveiled.
They settled on a boxywelded steel body with sloped sides and a steeply angled front plate for protection, made of a steel/aluminium ally, the APC is not as well protected as Tanks, but is definitely safer than Allied light scouts or the rear-areas trucks.
Statistics of current Service model:
Armour=Medium
Strength=250
Speed=5
Carrying Capacity=6
Armament=1x turret mounted MG131 13mm Heavy Machinegun.
The new-model APC has entered service with the Allied nations and is slated to become standard for all infantry units within two years, providing enchanced survivability in a modern battlefield environment.

Yeah, EVA. Next time you do a wall of text for a new unit break it up and add a few pictures, titles ETC I found the Star Strike descriptions interesting but.. slighly, unsurprising to read. _________________ Yes, work on MV continues. It is not forgotten. QUICK_EDIT
