That is sound of my sanity trying to recover from the chaos that was unleashed upon me Thursday night. I only wanted to play Tiberium Wars.

I had run alot of stuff earlier and my computer could use a fresh restart. No biggie. I go to restart but hit shutdown instead. Opps I thought, little did I know that I had just released the evil power that is Random Windows File Corruption!!!

I reboot and windows refuses to start. I try safe mode, file recovery, every stupid window "Repair Tool". Long story short, I took me till yesterday to get Windows stable again, but only after a complete reformat and clean install.

No worries though, I had backed up all NCM assets a day before all this happened, and again before I reformatted. Many are actually on a second hard drive. Now I have the fun task of reinstalling the all the games & programs I use.

Oh Yay! Not much in the mood to do mod work, or any computer related stuff ATM.

Yet from all this, I came up with a new design for the mastadon tank. Smile

I shall return! Very Happy

Damn, windows sucks. I remember the good old times of windows 98 where you only need to use scanreg* and scandisk to sort these problems.



* not sure if it is called scanreg, but it was a tool that restored one of the 5 recent registry backups.

wots rong with windows iits alot better than mac i can say and i got vista and havent run itno any anoyin suff (yet)

Welcome, my friend, to HELL.

Think of it this way - there's a little "program" installed, with EVERY single Vista install, that takes a picture of your desktop every.. say.. 10 seconds. If you're doing anything illegal.. Microsoft knows. If it's bad, Microsoft has the abilities to remove it.

Lovely, eh?

Tbh, XP > all others, imo..

Yeah, XP does the job fine. Plus add a secondary, Linux operating drive. No worries.

Sorry to hear about the problems Triforce, but at least you made backups.. a lesson a lot of people have had to learn the hard way Wink.
