yes, that move by Interplay has got to be one of the most brain dead mistakes in the industry, along with Westwood's sell out.
You know, it's a strange thing... but all the games I've ever been interested and became a fan of had their companies met some demise of some sort...
Fallout series.... Interplay shut down Black Isle and sold the FO rights to Bethesda
Mechwarriors series.... Activision sold it to Microprose
C&C series.... Westwood got liquidated by EA
Heroes of Might And Magic series.... 3do filed for chapter 11 bankruptcy
.... maybe I carry some sort of jinx perhaps?
if that's the case, expect something bad to happen to Sierra's Half Life and Counterstrike _________________ "War.... war never changes....." QUICK_EDIT
If I remember correctly, Sierra no longer has anything to do with Half-Life and Valve. Sierra published Half-Life 1 (and Counter-Strike?) back in the day, but it ended there. Now Valve handles all its own publishing through Steam and even the physical copies you buy at the stores are solely published by Valve. _________________ QUICK_EDIT
