How to fix pink dots on your voxel
Chicken pox syndrome
EDIT: IcySon took the 20 seconds to give us new pallettes we can use - all the colors that show as pink in the game will now show as pink on the VXLSE pallette.
Download them here.
Go in your VXLSE directory, go Pallettes >> TS, and replace unitsno.pal and unittem.pal with these ones. When you open VXLSE again, the pallette will show all of the colors the will show pink dots ingame.
----
All it'll really require is a color swap, from one of the crap brown hues to brown1 or brown 2, and any of the other random colors on the side to swap to a similar color on the functional pallette.
something along the lines of:
Having a "fix pallette errors" button or something would solve a lot of problems forpeople who make textures and have them turn out splochy and stuff, and for new voxellers who aren't familiar with the pallette bugs _________________ The Fall of Hammerfest - Epic Tiberian chain story

@ DaTS That's what I did for your Falcon ship there, but that takes a frkin long time, and you can still see a few places I missed.
it would be tons easier for users - especially newbies - if such a feature was already available in the voxel editor
@ Bansh, I'll check out that tutorial _________________ The Fall of Hammerfest - Epic Tiberian chain story

Wait, you want Banshee to add a feature that will actually be useful unlike a lot of the other ones? That's unheard of! If anyone is offended by this statement, you have good reason to be. Last edited by IcySon55 on Tue Dec 18, 2007 6:38 pm; edited 1 time in total QUICK_EDIT

Just cause he makes me laugh it's classed as kissing his ass? Now THAT Is funny.
(As for the userbar in my signature, that was Icy's Idea, not mine It's a laugh... Get over it ) Last edited by Aro on Tue Dec 18, 2007 1:37 pm; edited 1 time in total QUICK_EDIT
...and it's a joke. Who would make one of those as a serious thing? I made it because it's funny, maybe not to everyone, but oh well.

i thought it wasn't possible to make a custom palette
Editing palettes has always been possible. Yes, it is possible to edit the unittem palette. You can even change the remap gradient to something else. _________________ QUICK_EDIT
you'd think that since i am the maker of the voxelizer, which has to fit things to these palettes, that i would be one of the first people to be told this. QUICK_EDIT

You could change the palettes since the first mix editors were made.
It wouldn't be hard for Banshee to program VXLSE III to be able to fix voxels that use colours they shouldn't (Just make it pick the closest match and ignore all colours which are invalid when picking the closest match) _________________ Free Map Editor - Game Requirements - Stucuk.Net QUICK_EDIT

it would be soo amazing. It helps when i add textures from photoshop. I make all mine from scratch then texture them. The pink dots are ALWAYS a problem. _________________ "Reality is a lovely place, but I wouldn't want to live there." -Adam Young QUICK_EDIT
Here you go guys: Voxellers Palettes (TS Only)
Use these in place of the current palettes that come with VxlSE3 and you will never have another pink problem.
DO NOT use these in the game. They are intended for use with VxlSE3 and voxel creation only.

Unless im using a different pallet unintentionally, the ones you have highlighted as pink on the left side are still usable in TS. I use 8 and 15 predominantly for lights on my voxels.
The only frustrating problem i find with this is that when you export a voxel texture and edit in paint 121 becomes 219 once imported back on to the voxel. I found this out the hard way while researching and experimenting with various GDI camo schemes. QUICK_EDIT
